CHRISTMAS PARCELS.

WORK OF ZONE LADIES.

The following ie a list of the parcels received by Zone E for the soldiers overseas, tho information being supplied by the women’s organisation, which ha 6 been doing a splendid work throughout the zone: Parcels received and made up for the Zone area :- —Mangaweka 53, Hunterville 105, Marton 150, Foxtori 50, Feilding 452 plus one Christmas pudding. Included in the total handled in Feilding were 6 parcels from Bulls, 24 from the Foxton Beach Committee and 6 from the Foxton Women’s Institute. The making of tho Feilding parcels was possible only because of most generous support from tho public generally. Parcels were received as follow: Rangiwahia Women's Institute 8. Patriotic Sub-Committee 8, Halcombe Institute 4, Kakariki Women’s Division 2, Makino Institute 6, Colyton Institute 5, Waiata Institute 4, Ashhurst Institute 4, Pohangina Patriotic Sub-Committee 32, Pohangina Institute 6, Bulls Institute 18, Parewanui Institute 2, Sanson Institute 7, Ohakoa Institute 2, Glen Oroua Institute 6, Oroua I Downs Patriotic Sub-Committee 12, Awa-huri-Kopane Patriotio Sub-Committee 35. I Plunket Committee 4, Feilding Labour Party 7, Lytton Street School 10. Feilding Women’s Division 6. mah jongg players 20, Mrs Burrell 6, Mrs Lync 1, purchases and contributions 124. Actually 21 cases were packed and despatched. The real work of tho women’s committee was in the making up of parcels from contributions of goods supplied and from purchases made out of money donated. Entwisle, Harsten, M. Fowler, Tapuao School children, Valley Road Patriotic Sub-Committee, Rongotea Patriotio Society, Cobbe and Co. (paper and string), Mrs Hindle, Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Sash and Door Co., Tingey and Hubbard, Levin and Co., and K. A. Haybittlc (packing cases), Taonui, Manchester Street and Lytton Street Schools, Glaxo Co. and Greenstone Club (tins).
