PALMERSTON CRICKET CLUB

Mr A. M. Ongley presided at the annual meeting of the Palmerston North Cricket Club, when there was a large attendance of members. Speaking to the annual report, the chairman made reference to the teams’ performances ; both team's had had an enjoyable season. He congratulated 1. L. ■Pritchard on winning the Winsor cin> and said that it was well merited; and his performance of taking 83 wickets in club matches was outstanding, the chairman also referred to the teams batting as not being up to the usual standard and said that Messrs Norris and Pollitt were left to do most of,the runmaking. The election of officers iesuited:—Patron, Mr M. Millar; president, Mr A. M. Ongley; vice-presi-dents, Messrs D. A. R. Moloney, W, Kelly, A. Wakelin. N. G. lugham, G. Harvey, AV. M. Crystall and G. H. \ • Simpson; captain. Mr W. E. Norris; vice-captain, Mr J. C. Pegden; committee, Messrs W. E. Norris, J. C. Pegden, R Ormond and G Kells; sec-retary-treasurer, Mr G A. Robertson; delegates to Man a vatu Cricket Association, Messrs A. M. Ongley and "W. E. Norris. A motion was passed that the dub delegates support one-day cricket for the coming season find that the team scoring the most runs in the time allotted for each innings win the match. Mr E. Edwards was elected a member.
