ASSESSMENT COURT.
The list of objections dealt with by the Assessment Court this week involved properties valued fit a total of £50,000 and the reductions made by the Court and by agreement will amount to approximately £2OOO to £OOOO. Discussing the position with the town clerk (Air C. H. Tate), yesterday, it was learned that the decrease in the values will not embarrass the Borough Council, although it will mean, of course, that the council has between two and three thousand pounds less on which to collect rates.
