PATRIOTIC WORK.
Mr Hayden, secretary of) the . National War Hands Council, and Hon. Vincent-Ward, who has just been appointed lion, secretary of the Wellington Provincial AVar* Funds Council, were present at the Territorial Ball in Feilding last night and were received by the Mayor (Mr T. L. Seddon), chairman of Zone E Patriotic Committee. Mr AVard stated in conversation that he is engaged at the moment in arranging for'the entertainment and relaxation of the Territorials who are to be in camp at AVaiouru. Jt was proposed to spend up to £20,000 in providing entertainment halls, sporting gear, etc. All the sporting gear and other materials would become the property of the camp commandant in his official capacity.
Mr Hayden gave the interesting information that he was in an architect’s office in Feilding in 1914, and it was here that Ke enlisted for active service in the Great AVar.
