HOCKEY UMPIRES.
A social evening was held on Wedncsrlay by members of the Manawatu Hockey Umpires’ Association in the P.D.C. tearooms. An enjoyable time was spent in playing cards and games. Mr F. Tucker, one of the original members of the association (it was formed in 1912) was present, also A'lessrs 11. Alilne, R. L. C. Aitehison and AA r . H. AVilson (life members of the association), and Mr E. 11. Smith and Air R. A. Brace (representing the Manawatu Hockey Association).
