ACHIEVING VICTORY.
GREATER EFFORT URGED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 25. Lord Stamp, speaking at Bristol, praised the result of voluntary saving, but urged still greater efforts. Nearly everyone now was having a very hard time, he said, and the civilian population was in the front line. The ordinary man’s contribution to winning the war must be threefold.—“hard work, hard nerves, and hard living.”
