IMPORT LICENSES
GOODS ON ARMADALE. Per* Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. 'l’lie Associated Chambers of Commerce have been advised by Hon. WNash of a modification of tile procedure previously laid down in regard to the cargo on the damaged liner Armadale in so far as goods loaded in New York arc affected where such have been endorsed against a third or fourth period license. A special fourth period license will be issued to the value of the goods so endorsed if an importer considers the balance remaining on his existing licenses is insufficient to cover his requirements ior the remainder of 1940. In other cases where an importer held no license in respect of the third or fourth period and a special fourth period license has accordingly been issued .this license will not now be regarded as a. charge against the allocation for a later period.
