GENERAL NEWS.
FINE MODEL BUNGALOW. Delivery of the model doll’s house in the form of a fully equipped Spanish bungalow, which Mr D. C. Thomas, a shunter in the Railway Department at Palmerston North, recently donated to the Feilding Patriotic Society, was made by Mr Thomas yesterday when he arrived in Feilding and arranged for the gift to be displayed. The twostorey model is complete with fittings and electric light, the latter service being capable of use through the ordinary household lighting system. The Feilding Patriotic Society has arranged for the model to be competed for in aid of local funds. Mr Thomas, who made the model with the idea of making a contribution to the patriotic funds, is to be congratulated on his handiwork. Hockey. Wanderers’ hockey (earn for to-morrow is:—W. Reid (capt.), T. James. T. Pcdley, I. Borich, E. True, D. Lambcrton, B. Pilcher, B. Robinson, R. Merritt, B. Marsden, G. Brandt.
Foresters’ Lodge. Tho Feilding Foresters’ Lodge is to conduct a dance in' the Foresters’ Hall to-morrow night ,and patrons are assured of- good entertainment. All rights are reserved and popular admission charges arc to be made. Flower Day.
The selling of flowers by young children to-day was a method employed to raise funds for patriotic purposes, and the youthful sellers report having , done good business this morning.
