ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
CADET DIVISION. A visit by Superintendent Brown, of the senior division, to the recent weekly parade of the St. John Ambulance Cadets resulted in an interesting lecture being given to the boys. After being introduced by the cadet superintendent (Mr Stevenson), Mr Brown gave a talk on the history of medicine from ancient to modern times. Following. this t)he corporals took charge of their respective squads for training in theory, whilst Mr Stevenson gave instruction in preliminary first aid. The parade was dismissed after arranging public duties. This Week's Don’ts.—(l) Don’t allow untrained bystanders to hinder the work you are doing. (2) Don’t apply a. dressing too tightly over a wound where a fracture or a foreign body is suspected.
