WISH ART—C LARK. A very beautiful wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Palmerston North, on August 10, when Christina, elder daughter- of Air and Mrs H. \V. Clark, of Fitzherbert Avenue, Palmerston North, was married to Jackson, elder son of Air and Airs A.- H. Wishart, of Sargeant Street, Wanganui. Rev. J. Huubard officiated at the ceremony and Airs Emmett played the wedding music. The church was attractively decorated with bowls of blossom and japonica by friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was gracefully gowned in golden tinted parchment satin, featuring a full skirt which fell to a long circular train edged with narrow picot frill. Over her frock, which was designed and made by lierseif, she wore a fitted bolero, pointing down at the back waist line, the sleeves of which were full on the shoulders and fitting from the elbows. The edges of the bolero and cuffs were also finished with narrow frilling, and the front of the jacket fastened with tiny satin buttons. A beautifully embroidered veil, lent by a friend, fell to form a second train and was held in place by a halo head-dress of small cream golden primroses. She carried a bouquet of St. Joseph lilies and freesias. The bride was attended by a trio of maids, Aliss Jean Clark, as chief bridesmaid, the bridegroom’s sister, Aliss Ray Wishart, and the bride’scousin, Aliss Joan Screech. They were similarly attired in picture frocks of rose sprigged blue organza, featuring very full skirts with bustle backs and boat-shaped necklines. The full sleeves and neck and hemline, were edged with a narrow to match the bride’s gown. Silver Juliet caps and bouquets of pink cyclamen, stock and primulas completed their toilette. Attending the bridegroom was Mr H. B. Lawry as best man, and Aleksrs E. Christie and R. W. Wishart as groomsmen. During the signing of the register. Air Kendall sang “O Promise Ale.” On leaving the church the bridal party walked under an archway of hockey sticks, the bridegroom being a member of the University senior hockey team.

After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the P.D.C. tea-rooms by Air and Airs H. AAL Clark, the latter being attired in a blue-grey tailored suit, with hat to tone and navy accessories, her shoulder spray being of cvclamen and freesias. Airs A. H. AVishart wore a prunella frock, coat and hat with navy accessories, her shoulder spray being of freesias and violets.. Air Hubbard acted as toastmaster and the usual toasts were honoured. The beautiful two-tiered wedding cake was made by the bride and much enjoyed by all present. Cablegrams and numerous telegrams from all parts of New Zealand were read at the breakfast.

the young couple appeared for travelling the bride wore a wine suit with hat and shoes to tone, and a brown musquash fur coat, the gift of the bridegroom. Prior to their wedding the young couple were tendered several gift parties by their friends, including a pantry evening given at AVangatiui. They were also the recipients of a silver tea service from the staffs of the Grasslands Division and plant chemistry laboratory.
