Mrs L. Wood, of Kowhai Avenue, is visiting her mother in Auckland. Mrs G. M. McCaskill (Miss Gwen Gibbs), of Broadway, is vjsiting Wellington. Rev. J. Hubbard and Mrs Hubbard, of Palmerston North, are spending a holiday at Foxton beach. Mr and Mrs Basil Potter, of Palmerston North, are staying with Mrs Potter’s mother, Mrs Ross Campion, of Wanganui. Miss L. lnwood, of Island Bay, Wellington, is spending a holiday in Palmerston North before entering the Wellington Hospital to train as a nurse. The death has occurred of Mrs Susan Newton, wife of Mr Charles Frederick Newton, of Hastings. She was a daughter of Air and Alls W. E. Bulled, of Hastings, and was born in Aleeanee in 1905. She was educated at Taradale School. Airs Newton is survived by her husband and a family of three young children. There is also a brother, Mr W. Bulled (Henley Station, Patoka), and two sisters, Alesdames Russell (Asliliurst), and Alann (Wellington).
