SHIPPING LOSSES.
LATEST RETURNS. Received August 14, 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 13. Mercantile shipping losses for the week ended August 4 totalled / 0,124 tons of which British totalled 60.008 tons! compared with the German claim to have sunk 232,743 tons. The German and Italian losses'to August 12 totalled 923,000 ions arid 259.000 tons, respectively, also 29-oUU tons formerly neutral and now under enemy control. The British losses were slightly above average.
