INDO CHINA CLAIMS. THAILAND INCLUDED. Received August 14, 10.5 a.hi. SINGAPORE, Aug. 12. The Bangkok correspondent of the Straits Times states that reaction to Lndo-China developments is unlikely, but the Thai (Siamese) vernacular Press reports that the people in the north-east provinces have approached their Parliamentary representatives urging that Thailand should claim from France territories formerly belonging to Thailand and now part of Indo China. At Tokio the Netherlands diplomat M. Pabst visited Mr H. Nislii (Chief of the Europe and Asia Bureau) at the Foreign Office. The Dome! Agency said they discussed “various important questions.” The Yokohama Municipal Assembly lias adopted anti-British resolutions demanding the British withdrawal from East Asia. Peking reports that two British officers and 30 men entrained for Tientsin ■arid receiv.ed a salute from a guard of honour of American marines. They were farewelled bv United States and French military officials and diplomats.
