REPORTED KILLED

PILOT-OFFICER A. S. LUXMOORE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 12. The following air casualty is reported : -jjj-PILOT-OFFICER ANTHONY 6ETON LUXMOORE, previously reported missing, now reported killed in action.

Pilot-Officer Luxmoore was the only son of Mr and Mrs H. C. Luxmoore, of Cunninghams, and was in his 27th year. He came into prominence with the R.A.F. in March of this year when New Zealanders were members of bomber squadrons in a raid over the island of Sylt. He received his secondary education at the Feilding Agricultural High School and at the time of his departure was well-known among the younger people of this district. He received his first tuition in flying at the Milson Aerodrome and was one of the first pilots to leave this district as a volunteer for the Royal Air Force.
