AMIGO RESUMES.

FRESHENS UP WELL. (By “Spectator.”) ■ . * Amigo is reported to have resumed work at Wanganui. lie lias put on a fair amount of condition in his month’s spell since the Trentham meeting, and has freshened upwell. It docs not take him long to got back into racing order, but it is not likely that he will start at the Wanganui meeting. Perhaps he will race at the Wellington spring meeting. Globe Trotter’s Return. Globe Trotler is putting on condition at .Wanganui, and appears likely to regain his best form later, although it may be some time before he in ready to race. Ned Cuttle’s Work. Ned Cuttle came through his Trentham engagements in good style, and is in excellent order. His tasks have not been strenuous, but he has been given long steady work at New Plymouth. Holding tracks in the spring will suit him. Plato’s Stock. The first of the stock of the Iliad horse Plaio are making their appearance on the tracks. At Now Plymouth R. Barlow is handling a likelv looking chestnut named Alcgara, from Lucky La&s, dam of Pretty Las.-. Arctic Star Destroyed. Arctic Star had to be destroyed at Riccarton last week. He gave a fine display over three steeplechase fences in view of racing this week, but next day it was found that he had broken down hopelessly and' his owner-trainer, C. Dawson, decided that it would be merciful to destroy him. Trotting Winners.
