BASKETBALL.
WANGANUI BEAT TE KAWAU. The Wanganui basketball representatives visited Marton on Saturday to play the Te Kawau teams. In both games Wanganui were victorious by a fairly wide margin. In the A grade game Wanganui won by 32 goals to 20 and in the B grade by 34 goals to 12. At Rangiotu, in the sealed handicap competition. Rangiotu beat Marton by 20 goals to 14.
