DEATH OF EVANGELIST.
INDIAN CHRISTIAN MISSION. The many friends of the India Christian Mission will regret to hear of the passing of its evangelist. Rev. E. L. Gunasekara, at Nuwara Eliya, Ceylon. Rev. Mr Gunasekara, who was a converted high-caste Indian, had been engaged in evangelistic work chiefly among the Eurasian people of India and Ceylon for many vears, but owing to ill-health had to retire from this active life about three months ago. After a short, severe illness of two days he died in hospital there. About four vears ago this very fine Christian gentleman visited Palmerston North oil deputation work, and he made many friends here. Accompanying his father at that time was his son. M. W. Suriya, who now. only 18 years old, is doing evangelistic work in his own home village in India.
