TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

OLD STUDENTS HONOURED. Mr D. Mitchell, formerly chairman of the Technical School Old Students’ Association, who i 6 now a member of the Third Echelon, was honoured at a dinner by members of the association, on Saturday evening. Those present were: Mr and Mrs D. W. Mitchen (the parents of Mr Mitchell), Mr and Mrs H. M. Scott, Mr and Mrs J- Barsanti. Mr and Mrs O. S. Steverson, Mr and Mrs J. Walker, Mr and; Mrs L. Barsanti, Mr and Mrs A. Bgrsanti, Dir and Mrs Tv. Bambcry, Mr and Mrs A. Costall, Misses P. Sigglekow, J. Barrie (secretary), N. Donovan, M. Barrie, M. Cleaver, Messrs W- Elley (chairman), E. Elley, T. Wood and R. Morgan. An apology for absence nas received from Misses J. and J- A. Young. After the dinner, Miss J. Barrie presented a shoulder spray to Miss Sigglekow (Mr Mitchell’s fiancee) and Mr Scott proposed the toasts of the King and Mr Mitchell. Mr W. Ellev made a presentation to Mr Mitchell on behalf of the members. The monthly dance of the association was held in the school assembly hall on the same evening, there being a fairly good attendance. _ A Monte Carlo competition added variety to the programme. The committee in charge were Messrs W. and E. Elley. Roy Morgan, Rae Morgan. A. Costall, D. Jannings. J. Warner, Misses J. and M. Barrie. M. Cleaver, D. Berkalin and N Straker, Mrs J. Barsanti supervising the supper.
