According to the Daily Mail’s Johannesburg correspondent, it was stated that, the difficulties arising over the Australian tour had been overcome and the South African cricket XI would leave in October. An All India team was to tour England during 1911. In a representativo Rugby match Manawatu had beaten Wairarapa by' 11 points to nil. The death had occurred of Walter Brooking, a prominent American aviator, from injuries lie' had received when liis plane overturned after running into a crowd of spectators. Many of the spectators were hurt. An Ottawa cablegram stated that Dr G'rippen and Miss Le Neve were to return to England on August 15. Crippen was to be charged with murdering, his wife and Miss Lo Neve as his accomplice.
