THE NATIONAL REGISTER.
AIUST BE KEPT UP-TO-DATE. It will he obvious that if the register of the first division of the General Reserve, created under the provisions of the National Service Emergency Regulations, 1940, is to adequately fulfil its purpose it must be subject to.frequent amendment in order that it may correctly record ilie state of the reserve from time to time. One of the most important aspects of this matter is that of the numerous changes of addresses uf reservists which are continually taking place. The obligation has been definitely laid upon every’V reservist of an enrolled class to notify any such occurrence to the Director of ’National Service, Wellington, by means of. a registered letter. If the change took place prior to the proclamation of enrolment, the notification should he made forthwith; if it occurred subsequently, the notification must be within seven days of the change. The necessary forms are available at all post offices.
