BELIEVED KILLED
DOMINION AIRMAN. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 10. Private advice has been received that the Air Ministry lias reported that Pilot-Officer Herbert I). Dixon, of.the Royal Air Force, is missing after operations on May 27 and is believed to have lost his life. His mother is Mrs Margaret Dixon, formerly of Parnell, who left Auckland in February to join her husband in .China. A brother, Mr Archard Dixon, was on the Tairoa travelling to England when the vessel was sunk. He was a prisoner aboard the German battleship Graf Spec and is now a member of tile Royal Air Force. Another brother is serving with the New Zealand Forces in Egypt. KILLED IN ACTION. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. The following Air Force casualty is officially announced: Flying Officer Laurence Herbert MoFarlane, reported killed in action. His father is -Mr H. 0. McFarlane, of 72 English Avenue, Mornington, Dunedin.
