COAIFORTS AND CLOTHING. Tlie good work of the sewing circle of the Palmerston North Red Cross Society is continuing steadily, and they have now ready for dispatch one large cardboard carton containing 12 dozen milk jug covers, 22 dozen face-cloths, three dozen large throw-overs, 21 dozen linen tray-cloths, 14- dozen cotton trayclotlis, half a dozen table napkins, 11 dozen handkerchiefs, one pair of hospital towels, 4 1-6 dozen cotton knitted eye bandages, 3-J dozen hospital hags. There is large box containing 54 dozen hot water hag covers, one rubber-hot water hag, 10 pairs knitted socks, two khaki knitted pullovers, four pairs of khaki knitted gloves, one paid of grey knitted gloves, nine pairs mittens, seven scarves, 14 pairs bedsocks 31 dozen balaclavas, nine flannel bed jackets (Miss Jinggitt’s circle), 34 dozen many-tail bandages, 1 5-6 dozen body many-tailed bandages, and one dozen T bandages. Hospital comforts wore despatched to the New Zealand Red Cross on Alondav, also one largo ease of clothing for the Lady Galway Guild.
