CRIPPLED CHILDREN

MANAWATU BRANCH. The Manawatu branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society met last night. Those present were Messrs W. G. Black (chairman), J. C. Aiming, H. B. Free, G. G. Priest, F. W. MeL<2od (collector}, A. Grigor, W. Jt. Winks, Dr. D. Cook, Mr K. G. Chamberlain (secretary), Misses M. Eoole, K. Spenslev, M. Grant, Mesdames WG. Black, and J. T. Horne (representing the Woodville branch). A report by the combined ManawatuWanganui committee on the work ot welfare officers was read. This report said that the time had arrived when an assistant welfare officer should do provided for each branch, and recommended that an assistant be procure at once for Palmerston North.
