SAYING ORCHESTRA.
LONDON. July 2G. Funds raised l>y a public appeal have enabled the London Philharmonic. Orchestra to carry on until the autumn when engagements are expected to be more plentiful. The war has caused a falling off in donations by wealthy supporters of the orchestra. Michael Cberniavsky, the ’cellist member of the famous trio, appeals to music-lovers in the Dominions for funds.
