ST. DAVID’S GUILD.
The monthly meeting of. St. David’s Guild was held in the manse on Thursday afternoon, when Mrs J. M. Graham presided. Proceedings opened with the offering of prayer for peace. Apologies for absence were tendered on behalf of Mesdames Blatchford. Hartridge, McLean. C. Ware, Cook, Burnett. Sinclair, McKinlay, Oxenham and Boyd. Donations of goods, produce and money were handed in to assist with the sale of work to be held later in the year. The president thanked the ladies for their generous support. Mesdames McLean and Nicholas arranged the competitions, which were won by Mesdumes Smith and Hume. Items by Misses R. Grinlinton and F Newman were pleasing interludes. Members expressed appreciation of the hospitality of the hostess, Mrs Nicholas.
