HIGHEST MARKS.
YOUNG PILOT’S SUCCESS. HAALILTON. Aug. 2. Advice has been received by Air V. Drummond, of To Awamutu, that his son. Mr F. A. V. M. Drummond, who is serving with n batch of Australian Empire air trainees, passed out of Somers (Victoria) at the end of two months’ training with the highest marks in his flight. Eighteen years of age, Drummond is tile youngest pilot trainee among 105, whose average ago is 22 years. He expects to leave for Canada- at the end of August. Drummond is an expupil of the Hamilton High School.
