NO OLD-MODEL GUNS. .WASHINGTON, July 19. A statement bv the Secretary to the Treasury (Mr Morgenthau; indicates that the United States will not release to Britain any more World War rifles, of which 1.000,000 are in- hand, field guns’, or destroyers, according to the New York Times. Mr Morgenthau’s statement was: “We are scraping the bottom of the surplus war supplies that can be shipped to the Allies. Henceforth onlv newly-produced materials can be shipped.”
