BULLS.
(From Oar Own Correspondent.) ! BULLS, June 14. At the monthly -meeting of the Town Board, in the absence of Cmr. J. 15. Walker the chair, was' 'taken by C'mr. F. A. Holland, who presided over Cmrs. D. Lundy, W. Kearney, J. J. Marshall and C. C. Price. Cmrs. Walker and A. W. Anion were granted leave of absence. The foreman (Mr S. Howard) reported, on work done during the month. The foreman was instructed to repair the footpath in Johnston Street; and to plant 200 trees on the Domain to replace trees which have died. The Wanganui Hospital Board advised that the Town Board’s levy is £l6B 3s 2d. Plans having been approved by the health officer, building permits were granted for the following:—Y. Price, O. C. L. Tong, and G. H. Cule. Collections for the month were £206 Is 6d. Accounts wore passed for payment under the following headings;—District'fund, £4ll 18s 6u; library, £4 6s Bd. It was resolved to donate £lO to the Sick and Wounded Fund; to finish the vestubile of the Town Hall in the same material as the front of the ball; and to defer the painting of ; the west side of the Town Hall until some future date. A motion of thanks was passed to Mrs Marion Mansell, donor of the site for the Rest and Plunket Rooms. Cmrs. Holland. Kearney and Lundy were appointed a works committee for the ensuing month.
