Thomas Mae Curtain, who was remanded at a special sitting of the Cork' Court on January 5 on a charge of murder, has been sentenced to death and will be executed on July 5. MacCurtain whoso father, a former Lord Mavor of Cork, was shot dead in his home in 1920, was arrested /under the new emergence- defence laws following a round-up of I.R.A. members.
