/ STATISTICS GIVEN. Details of the export , of stud and flock Romney Marsh sheep from New Zealand were contained in the report of the president (Mr E. R. Black) to the annual meeting of the Romney Marsh Sheep Breeders’ Association in Palmerston North on Thursday. " The following- were the statistics of the exports of stud sheep, rams being mentioned first and owes second : Now South Wales. 18, 761; Tasmania —, 100; Victoria, 13, 81; South Africa (Cape Province). 19, 65: '. South Australia, 1, 20; Western Australia, —, 26; Argentina, 7, —; Uruguay. 5. —; Kenya Colony, 1, —: totals, 64, 1063. The flock rams sent from, members’ (locks, were given as follow: —New South Wales, 190; Victoria, 27; South Australia, 25;. total, 242. Since January 1 the following exports had taken place, stud rams being mentioned first and stud ewes second; —New South Wales, 23, 335; Victoria, . 13, 196: Tasmania, 2, 15; South Africa. J 4. t —; South Australia, 3, —; totals, 55, '546. Flock rams exported since January 1 were shown as :—Victoria, 182 from members’ flocks and 880 from non-members’ flocks: New South Wales, —, 373; totals, 182. 1253. " . -. The export trade to Australia was increasing, stated the report, and a high standard of quality had to be maintained.
