P Fraser) announced that ie had received a communication from tfie British Government to the effeet that the offers from the Dominions foi the care of British children for the period of war were, fit present under the con sideration of a British Government in-ter-departmental committee. Answering a question by lit DonJ. G. Coates,' Mr Fraser said it, perhaps, would he of assistance if .those willing to help in this project would Hive their names, so they could listed against some scheme being commenced. He expressed warm appreciation of the offers which had alieady been made in this direction. . The Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. W. E. Parry), read to the. House a statement on the methods used m raising patriotic funds, the manner m which the funds were used, and the class of goods acceptable for soldiers and refugees.
