TO-MORROW’S ATTRACTION. ALTERATIONS TO TEAMS. To-morrow’s encounter between the Manawatu and Wanganui representative Rugby teams at the Showgrounds promises to provide football of the highest order. Carter is not available for the Manawatu team and he will bo replaced as one of the locks by Nicholson (Fcilding), and McLaren (University) will now become an emergency forward. In the Manawatu B representative. team to play the Oroua Sub-Union at Kiinbolton somo changes also will take place. ■Thurston (Kia Toa) will take the place in the B team made vacant by McLaren being made an emergency for the A team. Sargisson (Air Force) will be captain of the A team and Thompson (Fcilding) will bo captain of . the B team. MANAWATU PLAYER’S SUCCESS. Mr Yorke Fleming, the former Old Boys’ Rugby player, who earned representative honours in the Manawatu in 1935, made his mark further in Rugby in Egypt recently when lie was chosen as a representative of the Wellington Regimental side in the game against the Welsh Regimental side (Army Cup holders and winners .of the trophy three times in the last five years). The New Zealanders carried off the honours 11 points to 9. In a letter Mr Fleming, who holds the rank of lieutenant, says he is in excel leni health. of the game against the Welshmen Lieutenent Fleming says the Wellington score was all tries and their line ivas not crossed, the opposing scores coming alt from kicks. Lieutenent Fleming was a Victoria Rugby Union representative in 1934 and a New South Wales representative in ,1936.
