FEELING RUNS HIGH.
LONDON, June 11Police cars are constantly traversing London streets, taking Italians to internment camps. Crowds are stm thronging the streets of Soho, from where police cars continue,to take away Italians. The owners of shops and cafes are hastily removing all signs associated with Italy. All Italians employed in London have been dismissed. Anti-Fascist feeling is running high in France. Demonstrations took place at Bordeaux and Lyons, also at Ajaccio. The Government is swiftly weeding out the dangerous elements from France’s million Italian inhabitants. A Sydney message says that, in the greatest round-up of aliens in Australia’s history, many Italians have been taken into custody throughout Australia and many firearms and Fascist literature seized. Very many shops in New South Wales conducted by Italians not naturalised have been closed.
