MARKET REPORT.
Produce Distributors, Ltd. _ Palmerston North, report, the following- prices for this week according to quality and grade: Tomatoes. Is to 2s 2 ease: cabbages (savoys). 3s 6d to ss; drumheads, 4s 6d to 5s 6d; cauliflowers, 7s to 12s: pumpkins, 5s to 10s super bag; potatoes (Suttons), 5s 6d cwt; onions, 4s 6d; picklcrs; 4s 6d sugar bag: carrots. 3s; parsnips, 4s: swedes, 2s to 3s a sugar bag: rhubarb, 3s 6d dozen bunches; marrows. 2s to 3s; cucumbers, 2s to 4s: lettuce. 3s 6d to 9s ease; beans, Id to 3d lb: green peas, 2s to 4d lb. The potato market is dull at present, only prime quality realising payable values. Onions remain firm, with moderate sales. Vegetables generally are slowly improving, with cauliflowers the main attraction.
