MEETING OF ASSOCIATION. The Ma.uawatu and West Coast Dairy Companies’ Association met on Thursday, when those present were Messrs 6. A. Broadbolt (chairman), S. E. AI ear, C. G. C. Dormer, J. Boyce It. Craig, I*. Hansen, J. Devine and M. Alexander. . The possibility of introducing a separate electrical tariff for dairy lactones was discussed. Tlie managingsecretary of the Manawatu-Oroua Power Hoard (Mr K. W. Eglinto.n) was present, and gave details ol present costs. . , ,r„ “It is a difficult matter,” said Mr Boyce (who is chairman of the l oner Board). “We have to make the taiitt fair for everybody. H the I itblic Works Department could make a reduction in its charge for power then the power boards could reduce charges, too.” l • • Mr Eglinton was thanked tor his information. and Mr Boyce was also thanked for his interest m the matter. A circular letter from the lauranga Dairv Co., advocating a system ol “blind grading” —so that it would not be known whose butter was being graded—was received.
