WASHINGTON, March 20. The Senate overrode the economy forces and approved the 212 million dollars Farm Parity Fund to enable payment to farmers co-operating in the cron control programme. The fund was not included in President Roosevelt’s Budget, but was inserted in the Agricultural Appropriation Bill, which must bo returned for the House of Representatives’ approval. The Agricultural Department estimates the wheat crop will he the smallest for forty years—possibly about 600 million bushels from 46 million acres. Prospects have been reduced by the severest autumn-winter drought ever recorded.
