EASTER CARNIVAL OPENS FEUDING AND AUCKLAND EVENTS The Easter'racing carnival began to-day, when the North Island galloping meetings were at Auckland, I eliding and Wairarapa. Considerable interest was taken locally in the contest for the FeUding Cup. Meetings in the South Island were held at Riverton and Tuapeka. There were two trotting meetings, the opening day of the Metropolitan Club’s Easter meeting at Christchurch, and the first day at Haw era.
