MAXIMUM AUTHORISED. LONDON, Feb. 20. In connection with the decision to present the Estimates of cert fa in services to Parliament in token iorrn lot the duration of the war, this will nevertheless afford the House of Commons opportunity for discussion. Merchant shipbuilding is included as a new service. The maximum numbers of the licet personnel at present authorised are 145,000 officers, seamen, boys, Royal Marines and 976 Royal Marine police.
