AOKAUTERE
(From Our Own Correspondent.) AOKAUTERE, Sept. 23. A pleasant afternoon was held in the Aokauicro Hall recently when the opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Airs Lawrence, and Aliss Grace Lawrence, who are leaving the district. Airs Hastings contributed two recitations, and a novelty waltz was won by Air Craven and Aliss Lawrence; musical arms by Betty Groves;and a competition by Aliss Lawrence. Mr Hopcroft referred to the high esteem in which tho guests were held; they had resided in the district for 26 years.. Air It, Scott endorsed the previous speaker’s remarks, and said the young folk had always received a great deal of pleasure from tho music Aliss Lawrence provided. Air Hopcroft presented the guests with a travelling rug. Aliss Lawrence, on behalf of er mother, and herself, . expressed thanks to tho residents.
