With six excellent plays, by teams adr judged the best in their respective area* the public of Palmerston North will have the opportunity of a feast of drama at- the Opera House tin's evening, when the North. Island elimination festival under the auspices of the British Drama League (New Zealand branch), will take place. Owing to the length of the programme it will bo necessary to start at 6.30 p.m, and no admissions will be permitted during the progress of the plays. The plays' to ho presented arc “Jane Wogan,” “Four Marys.” “Two Gentlemen of Soho,” “Cupid Rampant,” Barbara’s Wedding,” and “Hands Across the Sea,” and the teams are from Wcllin-ton, South Taranaki (2) Manawatu ancf Wairarapa areas, four at least of the plays being quite new to those interested in dramatic endeavour in this centre.
