In Manitoba, Albert Flagenheimer, a German Jew who owns several sugar factories and distilleries in Central Europe and the Balkans, is promoting a 2,000,000-dollar beet-sugar plant. European interests supported by British capital are said to be organising’ a 2,500,000-dollar rayon industry at North Vancouver, British Columbia. Two small wood-working plants, backed bv an Austrian and a Czechoslovakian, arc already operating in British Columbia.
