FROM MANY SOURCES. London.—A Warsaw radio broadcast states that a German air bomb fell on a Jiouse where 90 Germans were prisoners, killing 27 and wounding 35. London. —The Allied War Council meeting was held at a town where, though secrecy was observed, a large crowd gathered and cheered the Premiers of Britain and France. New York.—The Stock Exchange turnover on Friday was 1,660,000 stocks and shares. . London.—The price of gold has risen from 168 san ounce to 180 s having remained stationary at the former price for the last fortnight. Soon after gold reached the 168 s level that price was made a. fixed one. The exchangos are: New York, 4.03; Paris, 176*. Stockholm.—A Nazi military ’plane made,a forced landing in Swedish ter-
ritorial waters and was interned. London.—The Exchange Telegraph Agency’s Athens correspondent states that 2500 volunteers have been sought as aviators and technicians. Copenhagen.—-Denmark is calling to the Colours in the next few weeks 10,000 men who normally would not be called up until the summer.
