NATION IN MOURNING.
FUNERAL OF M. CALINESCU
Received September 25, 11.25 a.m, LONDON. Sept. 24
The Bucharest correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain states that the nation is still in mourning for M. Arm and Calinescu, whose funeral King Carol, Prince Michael and high officials attended. Thousands witnessed the procession to the station. After the funeral service in the Athenaeum the body left by train for the family home at Curtea de Ar’ges, and thence was taken to the grave on a farm cart drawn by six oxen.
London. —League of Nations officials have indicated that the League will maintain purely nominal authority in Danzig,, refusing to recognise it as German.
