BRIDGE EVENING.
Before taking up her residence in Auckland, Mrs H. V. Davies was entertained by a number of her friends at a bridge evening at Feilding, there being some 70 guests present. The function was held in the W.D.F.U. rooms and was arranged by Mesdames R. Carter, W. H. Hulse, L. J. Wild, and C. M. Sargisson. The decorations consisted of daffodils and blue irises. Mrs Davies wore a frock of green lace under a fur cape, while Mrs Carter was gowned in a becoming gown of black lace with a fur cape, Mrs Hulse wore midnight blue velvet, Mrs Smith black lace and georgette and Mrs Sargisson a velvet frock of deep wine shade, Mrs Wild being unavoidably absent. A cheery evening was spent playing cards, the prizes going to Mrs John Graham and Mr A. J. Kellow for the best scores.. Mr C. M. Sargisson, on' behalf of those present, asked Mrs Davies to accept a handsome Wedgewood reading lamp as a remembrance of Feilding, and Mr Davies thanked everyone for the happy party and all the good wishes- accorded him and his wife. j
