Charmingly arranged to the Jast detail was tJie decorative scheme chosen for a wedding of wide interest which took place at St. Andrew’s Church, Palmerston North, on Saturday alter>llooll, when Margaret, only daughter I of Mr and Mrs A. Grigor, of I‘itcliett > Street, was married to Kingsley, third son of Mr and Mrs E. Brown, of Pukekolie. Rev. J. Hubbard, M.A., 8.D., performed the ceremony, and Mrs Emmett was the organist. Pink cherry blossom, tulip magnolias, grape hyacinths and tn-ngitones gave a spring-like atmosphere against a background of palms in the church, and tiny posies of pink and blue flowers were tied to the ends of the seats with blue ribbons. The decorations had been carried out by Mrs Bruce Weeks, Mrs A. Fell, of Halcombe, and Miss M. Grigor, of Waipukurau. The bride, who was escorted by her father, entered the church to the strains of “The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden.” Her lovely gown was of pearl tinted slipper satin, over pale pink taffeta. The short waisted bodice was panelled and pointed to a V at the waist in front. The short sleeves were full at the shoulder, narrowing into soft pleats below,' and the skirt was cut on the cross - and very full. A long train fell from the shoulders and was niched and rounded at the end. Exquisite Honiton lace, which had been in her family for three generations, was softly draped at the neck, being caught at the sides with sprays of orange blossom and in the centre with a crescent brooch of pearls. The same lace decorated the train, which was finished with a ' spray of orange * blossom, Her filmy veil of delicately embroidered tulle had been worn by her grandmother, mother and aunt, and was held in place by a gold comb, ornamented with large pearls, which l

had also hen in the family for three generations. A pearl necklace and a pearl bracelet were also worn, and she carried a formal bouquet of gardenias, orchids and hyacinths shaded to match her frock and tied with satin ribbons. Her shoes were of pearl shaded satin. Misses Violet Wood (chief), Marrie Ireland and Peggy Gow were a dainty trio of bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in aqua-pink net over taffeta, with full triple skirts and tucked bodices edged with net frills and having narrow shoulder straps. The bodices were ruclied down the front and crossed over low at the back. Three soft pink velvet bows finished the hack of each skirt, and little net bolero jackets with puff sleeves completed the frocks. Across the backs of their heads trails of hyacinth bells were worn, and they tones of pink"' and porcelain blue, tonesc of pink and porcelain blue, with cyclamen tied with wide taffeta ribbons to tone. The best man was Mr’ G. Basham (Pukekohe) and the groomsmen Messrs C. Reed (Palmerston North) and W. Brown (Pukekohe), while the ushers were Messrs 11. Mildon and B. LouisSOll.

During the signing of the register Mrs L. Barriball, of Wanganui, sang “0 Perfect Love.” Over 200 guests were entertained after the wedding, the Rosco tearooms being charmingly decorated with pink camellias, grape hyacinths and tangitanes. The three-tier wedding cake was iced in pale pink, and the bride and bridegroom were seated beneath a large bell qf pink cherry blossom. Mr and Mrs Grigor received the guests, the bride’s mother wearing a charming frock of petunia georgette with’’tucked bodice and full tucked three-quarter sleeves. The corselet waist was embroidered with leaves. A fur cape and navy straw hat) trimmed with tiny circles of feathers in petunia, dark blue and light blue and.a petunia veil completed her ensemble. Her French bouquet was of cyclamen and tulips to tone with her frock, and was tied with matching ribbons. Mrs Brown was in black lace with pearls and a black picture ‘hat. Her bouquet was composed of irises and freesias in mauve tones.

Among the 'relatives present were: Dr. Renton G rigor, of Auckland, brother of the bride, and Mrs Grigor, wearing a woollen ensemble of valley green with tucking on the frock, the coat bordered with black astrakhan and finished with a posy of violets, and sailor hat of felt to tone; Miss .J. Grigori (Pamerston North), in periwinkle blue frock with front panel of petunia georgette, navy hat and skunk furs; Mrs J. Grigor (Waipukurau), floral silk frock with georgette coat and black hat ; Miss M. Grigor, clover floral frock and' hat to tone; Mr and

Mrs J. -Roach (Wellington), black flecked tweed suit with fur trimming, black bat trimmed with flame velvet; Mrs A. Woodward (Oamaru), aunt of the bride, belted suit of raisin brown self-patterned deque relieved with flesh pink georgette; Baku straw sailor hat with veil, a mole cape and bouquet of tulips and • freesins to tone; Mr A. Woodward; Miss Ivy Brown (Pukokolie), sister of the bridegroom, teal blue georgette frock and coat of wool georgette with contrasting posy, hat and accessories of London tan ; Mrs G. Weston, another sister, green floral silk, brown hat and brown fur coat, also Mr Weston. Rev. J. Hubbard was toastmaster. A number of guests were later entertained at ’the homo of Mr and Mrs G rigor, .'where the large array of beautiful gifts, which included a number of ' cheques, was displayed. Scarletanemones and grape hyacinths decorated the dining-room, and bowls. of irises, .camellias, narcissi and other spring flowers were arranged in the drawing-room. When she left for the honeymoon, the bride wore a velour suit of Tahitian' rose, with diagonally ribbed jacket, multi-coloured chenille cravat and swathed turban of Tahitian rose with matching shoes.
