Fox was voted to the chair and gave an outline of the matter contained in a circular issued by (lit! Country Library Service. It was decided to establish a library and the following committee "as set up: Chairman, 'Air Fox; secretary. Miss ltcnall; also Mrs JL V. Caverhill and Mr and Mrs F. C. McKay. It is expected that no difficulty "ill be experienced in securing centrally •situated premisis. A large number of subscribers wore enrolled. A happy evening was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs C. S. limit, the occa ion being the eoining-of-age of their son Charles. A largo number of the guests wore members of the Hongntea and Taikorea Methodist Bible classes. The time passed with games and competitions, "bile the following contributed items: Misses M. l’earson and L. I’odley, pianoforte solos; Mrs A. Podley, songs. .Mr J. Smith. in presenting Mr limit with a. golden key, said the event called for many good wishes, not only from those present, but also a wide circle of friends throughout the district, and be wished him a prosperous and successful future. Mr J. P. Glovn thanked Air and Alls Hunt for their hospitality.
