SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
The popularity of the Vest End dances was again in evidence last evening, when a large number of patrons were present. A professional orchestra supplied the music, and Mr Neil played an enjoyable extra. Prizes were won as follow: Monte Carlo, Miss Tl. Collins and Mr W. Boreham; Cay Gordons, Miss Goodall and Mr VBoreham. Tne M.C. was Mr V. Collins, and the ladies’ committee supplied the supper. _ . ! The dance held by the City Silver Band at the Orange'Hall on Saturday night was enjoyed by those attending. The new orchestra of five players rendered a very bright programme. The novelties were the Monte Carlo, won by Mrs Looser and partner, the Gay Gordons won by Mrs Prouse and Mr Cater, and another event by Master Allan Cooksley. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Cooksley. j
