CROSSING FATALITY.
WOMAN VICTIM. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 18. Mrs Clarice Dent, aged 60, met instantaneous death at the Marsden Street railway crossing, Lower Hutt, at 7.55 o’clock last evening. She was an inmate of a convalescent home, and was missed from there. A policeman proceeding to his home witnessed the fatality. It is also stated that the train crow saw the woman on the line, but too late to avoid her being struck. She came from Christchurch.
