RURAL RAKINGS. FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASE. Foot-and-mouth disease recently broke oul at Morton, Keighley, Torks. where the usual restriction order was issued. Canada’s Cheese Production. Production of cheese in Canada in Marci amounted to approximately 1,500,0001 b, an increase of 11.8 per cent, over March 1938, and 34 per cent, over February, 19oJ. Fewer Cows Under Test. A reduction of 1010 in the number of cows under test in the Northern Wairoa Herd Testing Association s area during the rrist year was commented upon by the chairman, Mr F. Johansson, at the annual meeting. The number of cows testI dui'iriK tbo past year was 6404, compared wilh 7414 in the previous year.
