LITTLE BUSINESS.
WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. There was little doing yesterday on tile Wellington Stock Kxchange, the market being generally stagnant. Interest in leading Australian issues appeared to have faded out. there being a lack of inquiry in these. Government loans were quiet, with a slightly firmer tone at the late call. The only business listed was a small parcel of 3J per cent, stock, 1939-43, at C 99.
Small attention was paid to bank shares. Australasia were quoted at £9 Is, sellers ’£9 Rs. Commercial of Australia, were a little easier at Kis 7d, sellers IGs lOd. New Zealand, firmed to sales at 395. a gain of . 3d. Buyers were in lor New- South AA ales at- £3O. Goldsbrough, Mort were steady at 28s. sellers 295. Industrial shares were generally dull, little interest being shown in any section.
